A legendary figure in Indian Karate, Shihan M. Kanaharaj began his martial arts journey in 1974, marking over 50 years of dedicated mastery. A scholar-warrior who blends academic depth with elite technical skill, he rose from a formidable National Champion to a world-class authority. His influence has been pivotal at every level of the sport, serving as an Asian Games 2010 Coach, Asian Referee, and a key administrator as the former General Secretary and current Director of the Tamil Nadu Sports Karate Association (TSKA).

 

As the President and Chief Technical Director of Kofukan Shito-Ryu Karate School India, Shihan Kanaharaj has bridged the gap between traditional Japanese heritage and modern athletic excellence. Over five decades, he has mentored a generation of elite athletes and black belts, cementing his legacy as a pillar of the global Karate community. His life stands as a testament to the discipline, wisdom, and enduring spirit of Karate-Do.
